“Scars of the False Self” ventures into the bitter and tormented nature of ontological insecurity. Ontological insecurity refers to the loss of recognition in oneself and need of constant reassurance in one’s existence, as a direct impact of mental illness. The project explores the visual portrayal of a corrupted identity through multiple medias, connecting an audience through sound and sight.
